A graduate of Dartmouth College and Dartmouth and Brown Medical Schools, Dr. Richard J. Lasonde has received his fellowship training in corneal surgery and external diseases of the eye at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Lasonde specializes in cataract surgery, Lensx-Laser vision correction, and the treatment of glaucoma, diabetic eye conditions, and macular degeneration.
Richard J. Lasonde, M.D. has the experience and the expertise you can trust. Lensx-Laser is a corneal procedure, and Dr. Lasonde is one of a select few fellowship-trained corneal specialists in New England.
Having performed over 3,000 laser surgery procedures and thousands of cataract surgeries, Medical Director and Chief Surgeon Dr. Lasonde also brings his unique skills as a refractive surgeon to his cataract surgery by helping patients achieve the best vision possible.
Dr. Edward H. Jaccoma is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist who has recently returned to New Hampshire after practicing in the Southern Maine area for 30 years. He specializes in General Ophthalmology, the medical and surgical management of dry eye-related disorders, as well as plastic surgeries of the eye and eyelid areas
Dr. Jaccoma received his Medical degree from the University of Vermont where he graduated with a nomination to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Society and his Bachelor of Science degree from Fairfield University.
He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at the Washington Hospital Center and his residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Virginia. He has also taught medical students and resident physicians at the University of New England College of Medicine, as well as serving as Medical Director of Medispas, delivering laser, injections, IPL, radiofrequency and surgical aesthetic care.
Additionally, Dr. Jaccoma will perform cosmetic eyelid procedures and will offer treatments for reducing the appearance of wrinkles and rejuvenating the skin.
Dr. Jaccoma is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American Medical Association.
Dr. Aslam is an honors graduate of the New England College of Optometry, Boston, MA. She received her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University with a major in biology and a minor in microbiology. Dr. Aslam is licensed in New Hampshire and Maine. She is a member of the New Hampshire Optometric Association as well as the American Optometric Association.
Her specialty interests include dry eyes, red eyes, and allergic itchy eyes, as well as pre- and post-care of laser surgery, cataract surgery, and complicated contact lens consultations. She sees both children and adults. She is experienced in routine and difficult contact lens fits. She evaluates and treats a variety of eye care problems. She evaluates the retina for diabetic and high blood pressure changes to the eye, and she checks for cataracts and macular degeneration. Dr. Aslam is currently accepting new patients for complete eye examinations, contact lens fittings, and complex contact lens care.
Dr. Federico is originally from Westerly, RI and graduated from The University of New Hampshire with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Psychology. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from The Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO) at Salus University where she graduated with high honors. During her time at PCO, she served as both a clinical skills and optics teaching assistant, was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, and was the president of the Sports Vision club.
Dr. Federico has participated in countless vision screenings in under-served communities in Philadelphia and also traveled to Haiti for a week long service trip to provide eye care in various villages throughout Haiti. During her training, Dr. Federico underwent an advanced pediatric rotation where she helped treat and manage many pediatric vision issues.
In addition to her Doctor of Optometry Degree, Dr. Federico also received a certificate in advanced studies in contact lenses from PCO. After graduation Dr. Federico completed her residency in primary care and ocular disease at the Newington VA Hospital in Newington, CT. This gave Dr. Federico extensive knowledge in the fields of glaucoma, diabetes, macular degeneration and many other ocular diseases. Since joining the Excellent Vision team Dr. Federico has also undergone additional training in the field of dry eye and has now started a Dry Eye Clinic within Excellent Vision. Dr. Federico lives in Portsmouth and in her free time enjoys hiking, running, playing tennis and spending time with friends and family.
Dr. Harisinghani was raised and is originally from Lexington, MA. He graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honors B.S. in Human Biology and Physiology. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry (NECO). During his time at NECO, Dr. Harisinghani's rotation exposure included the specialty contact lens clinic at the New England Eye Institute, low vision specialty at the Jamaica Plain VA, primary care at the Brockton VA, and others.
Dr. Harisinghani's interests span from low vision, contact lenses, and the treatment and management of various ocular diseases such as glaucoma, dry eye, and macular degeneration. During his free time, Dr. Harisinghani enjoys playing tennis, hanging out with his cats Cleo and Moe, and searching for the next best restaurant along the Seacoast.
